Title: Mixed Signal IC Design/Verification Engineer

Description: Mixed signal hardware design and verification engineer for high-speed serial transceivers and control circuits for Silicon Photonics applications

Technical Knowledge, Skills & Experience: This position requires a deep understanding of RTL design, integration and verification. A deep understanding of top down design and verification methodologies is a must. The candidate must have experience is front end RTL design, UVM/OVM verification methodologies, and schematic capture. Experience in AMS verification and VerilogA/Verilog-AMS modeling is a definite plus. Experience in CPU architectures, integration and embedded programming is required. Additionally experience in high speed physical synthesis, floor-planning, logical equivalence checking, Static Timing Analysis, Scan DFT, JTAG, power/ground distribution and clock tree synthesis is required. Must have experience in FPGA design and validation. Experience with protocols such as I2C and SPI is required. Exposure to programming languages such as Python, Java, C and Tcl are also required.

The candidate must have an understanding of basic analog circuits such as op-amps, reference sources, analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, high-speed custom digital logic, CDR, VCO, phase detectors etc. Some understanding of device physics and analog layout issues are required. Knowledge of Cadence design entry, simulation and specter simulation is required.

Education: Candidate must have an MSEE

Experience: Prefer 2 years with exposure to high speed digital IC design, FPGAs, functional verification and embedded programming.
