Job Description

The Global Planning & Fulfillment Business Architect works with stakeholders within the GP&F Services, across Supply Chain, and across Cisco organizations to align strategic goals and transformation programs with the architectural changes required to deliver the business strategy

The GP&F Business Architect engages with the Service Leads to deliver transformation and enable business outcomes by:

  • Understanding and documenting the business strategy and business outcomes

  • Translating the business strategy into capability requirements

  • Building and aligning capability roadmaps and defining interdependencies

  • Aligning transformation portfolio priorities across GP&F services

  • Developing solutions, business process flows, business requirements documentation, and user stories to enable capabilities

  • Driving change management for alignment and adoption within and across services for solutions

  • Creating,enabling, and evolvingRole Based Training

  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance

  • The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies

  • The ability to assimilate and correlate abstract concepts, disconnected programs, and changes in the business environment to articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues

  • Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives

  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

  • The ability to act as liaison conveying strategy, business requirements, and information needs of the business to IT teams and cross functional stakeholders.

  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

  • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities


  • Minimum of 10-12 years of supply chain experience with expertise in two or more of the followingdisciplines (Demand Planning, Scheduling, Backlog Mgt, S&OP, Integrated Business Planning, NPI ramp planning , Supply Planning, Financial Planning, Inventory Mgt, Manufacturing Operations, or Logistics,)

  • 5+ years of experience with ERP application enablement & transformation (MRP, ATP, Shop Floor, Procurement, Planning, Financial Planning, Part Creations & BOM Mgt)

  • 5+ years of project/program management experience

  • APICS & Six Sigma Green Belt certifications preferred

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering preferred
