Roles & Responsiblity


  • Delivering software with benchmarked quality and customer satisfaction, thereby enabling faster customer adoption.

  • System and solution test Ownership - Strategy /Planning for customer PSI deliverables

  • Uses expertise and creativity for innovative product recommendation and solutions. Applies knowledge of Cisco's business strategies.

  • Write Automation test plans which define the automation strategy and test cases for new features / Solution Test / System Test

  • Closely work with development engineers in identifying design weaknesses (SDETS)

  • Be part of a team which values open communication, empowerment, innovation and career development

  • Posses strong leadership skills and provide technical consultation and leadership in the test and automation

  • Participates (in a senior/ lead role) on a medium to large project.

  • Strong Software Test engineering methodology and process expertise

Skills Required


  • Experience with automation and automated test tools (TCL, Python)

  • Experience in test engineering concepts and methodologies including test planning, test case design, test execution and test automation

  • Strong knowledge and testing skill in OTN technology and standards - OTN Switching, Alarms, PMs, GMPLS, Protection Schemes.

  • Good working knowledge on TCL/Expect, Python and Automation methodologies

  • Good working knowledge with traffic generators and analyzers (e.g. Agilent, Spirent, IXIA, Pagent etc)

  • Experience in Cisco routers (IOS and XR) is desirable

  • Strong communication skills. Ability to share information and communicate clearly to team members

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skill
