The Business Entity:
Cisco India has made significant investments of close to USD 2B till date. Over the past 15 years the site has evolved into one of the most strategic investments for Cisco worldwide. The site has 4 key levers - The Engineering team, which has significant global product engineering responsibilities and a key site for innovation, a world class Sales organization, Global delivery centers for Advance Services, Technical services, IT and corporate functions and best in class culture.
There is a significant opportunity to leverage all the levers of investments simultaneously to dramatically increase Cisco's business interest in India and innovation from India for India and rest of the world by leading high profile, strategic initiatives in India, oftentimes through significant cross-functional teams. This individual will be required to work cross functionally to facilitate decision-making, accountability, and results. This role requires strong intelligence and emotional skills, focus, and quick turnaround, leveraging resources from across the company in developing and executing critical elements of our India Strategy.
This individual will make contributions across the board, from helping drive key customer oriented activities as well as operational and strategic initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role provides a strong perspective and exposure to Cisco´s business and engineering operations.
In concrete, the role entitles:
Exec Sponsor Support: enable the India Site Leader to strategically and holistically engage with key customers as Executive Sponsor and Virtual CEO
Help drive Cisco India's strategic initiatives such as Innovation Centers, Site Strategy, etc
Assisting the Cisco India leadership team on making critical business decisions with significant financial impact, providing solid fact-based analysis
Engaging with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Sales Strategy & Operations, PR, Marketing, and Human Resources on a regular basis to ensure alignment and execution
Creating and managing effective communications and process to align efforts to decisions and expected outcomes in the region
Becoming a catalyst and an ambassador of India in the rest of the organization
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline from a top school
At least 5 years of industry experience in High Tech, preferably in one of several of:
Enterprise (large enterprise IT deployments)
Service Provider (telecom and cable)
Over-the-top players (search engines, social networking, web platforms, etc.)
MBA from top school preferred
Self-motivated, driven, and autonomous
Excellent customer/client presence, executive stakeholder management experience
Superb presentation and communication skills, strong business knowledge
Excellent problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
Strategic thinking, ability to see the big picture, connect the dots
Detail-oriented in managing business operations
Experience in a top tier management consulting firm
Prior sales related experience strongly preferred - sales operations, account planning, business development, relationship management, etc.
Prior program management and business operations experience
Ability to formulate and adapt strategic frameworks and methodologies
