What You'll Do

The Talent Brand Team’s mission is to make personal connections with talent, so you’ll develop relationships with employees in-region to amplify their experiences and help the world understand what working at Cisco is like. That could mean capturing photos and employee stories to represent APJC on our WeAreCisco social media channels, developing blog posts, writing social media posts, sharing stories with recruiters, helping with in-region events, and more.

You will be the WeAreCisco Talent Brand subject matter expert in region representing our voice, tone and style while understanding and implementing Cisco brand guidelines, and you’ll consult with local teams (Talent Acquisition, HR, Hiring Managers, Marketing and more) to develop and maintain a consistent global employment brand voice.

To be successful, you’ll already have a strong marketing background and passion with a deep understanding of communications and social media platforms from a business perspective. You will also have excellent follow-through in a real-time environment, be able to be flexible to work with a global team, and have experience executing day-to-day site management, social marketing, as well as writing content that will engage and build strong talent communities. Not only do you pay attention to the details you’re also action-minded, and you have a reputation for thinking creatively when faced with complex global challenges that require a strategic and visionary mindset. You will also be a great manager of your time in an organization with many teams and geographies as your partners.

You can write in 140 characters or in a longer-form blog post in a way that makes people want to read and click to apply. Energizing employee ambassadors and finding their stories to share is something that comes naturally to you.

At a minimum, we expect that you will have:

  • Shown experience in a marketing environment, preferably in the employer branding space implementing and maintaining Talent Brand strategies and campaigns that increases brand awareness and user engagement

  • Writing skills – you can write anything that will make someone take an action, a click, a like, an apply.

  • Confirmed ability to develop an editorial strategy with relevant content tailored to specific channels/talent communities

  • Day-to-day management of all social media platforms, which in this case, align with Talent Brand. You have the hands-on experience of social media management from a brand perspective (you’re more than just on social, you can strategize the next steps). This includes Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and more.

  • Creativity and innovation

  • Strong analytical skills for analyzing social and other metrics to adapt your strategies, and an understanding of the social media tools to get those metrics.

  • Understanding of recruitment technologies and trends useful

  • Strong project management and decision-making skills

  • Must be a great communicator, both written and verbal

  • Requires excellent social writing skills

  • Vendor management & communication skills.
