Cisco Meraki is searching for a Regional Program Coordinator to join our Training and Evangelism team in Chicago! Our scalable programs are run at the global level but strategy and operations have been regionalized to better support Meraki’s go-to-market goals in-region. In this position, you'll be responsible for the event planning, logistics, and communications associated with successfully executing Cisco Meraki’s technical training programs in the North America (NA) region. To do this, you will work closely with the rest of the Training & Evangelism team, other Meraki departments, and external vendors to grow the team’s impact in-region while creating a perfect experience for attendees.
You have extraordinary written and verbal communications skills, an ability to juggle multiple projects, acute attention to detail, and a high degree of energy and enthusiasm.
Our team is a highly interdisciplinary part of the Cisco Meraki organization. You will drive market adoption of Meraki by developing, promoting and delivering scalable programs that build knowledge and enthusiasm among participants. Our programs’ audiences include reseller, service provider, and distribution partners, customers, and our wider Cisco team.
What you will do:
Plan event logistics for training sessions in your region
Define communications plans to target priority attendees and drive a healthy demand for our trainings
Lead event registrations to strategically serve Meraki’s most important partners, customers and Cisco counterparts
Manage participant communications in a friendly and professional manner
Build event budgets, track spending, and ensure timely payment to vendors
Build and maintain relationships with internal partners and outside vendors to drive event success
Perform ongoing assessment of vendors to ensure performance to expectations
Partner with Regional Associates in the strategic execution of programs, working as a team to drive success and impact in-region
Track event success metrics, making adjustments or recommendations as needed
Evaluate operational processes to identify, test, and implement efficiencies to improve the overall experience for attendees and/or trainers
1-2 years of experience in events, marketing or equivalent experience and skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
Demonstrated initiative and independence in solving problems
Ability to lead and prioritize across multiple projects
Extraordinary communication & relationship-building skills
Upbeat and personable approach
Strong organization and loves the details
Demonstrated accountability and reliability
Can-do attitude, with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and pursue any task
Ability to work in a team and thrive in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment
