What You'll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer in BroadSoft's Engineering team, you will produce cloud scale Java web applications in a microservices architecture. You'll be developing BroadSoft's cloud collaboration services, network orchestration and automation through designing and developing business logic, data tier services, owning and authoring powerful APIs and microservices.

You will work closely with product designers, other specialists and developers in an agile team embracing challenges and change.

You'll be part BroadSoft's Engineering team, now part of Cisco.

Who You Are

  • At a minimum, we expect you to have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 5 years experience of developing enterprise or web scale applications in an agile team.

  • You have experience of microservices architecture and have authored APIs.

  • Significant experience with Java and the Spring framework is preferred, along with SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, DevOps and recent experience of implementing cloud subscription services.

  • Experience with message brokers, batch processing, containerization, web servers, API gateways, OAuth and OpenID Connect.

  • You're a motivated team member who is able to grasp complex user journeys, business problems and technology integration to design and develop simple, scalable and secure cloud services.

  • You're a go-getter and have a real passion for keeping up to date with technologies and standards.
