What You'll Do

As a Software Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for taking Cisco’s latest innovative software offerings to market. You will work as part of a team that has a ‘start-up’ mentality, but with the full support, scale & resources of Cisco.

As our customers navigate the increasingly complex world of digital connectivity, they need IT to provide a platform that can dynamically respond to shifting needs. The new normal will leverage highly automated Datacentres, alongside the Public, Private & Hybrid Cloud. Cisco is crafting a rich portfolio of software and service solutions to meet these new requirements.

You will play a crucial role in the success of Cisco's strategy in the Application Centric Datacentre. With offerings for Security, Policy Enforcement, Cloud Workload Protection and Network Assurance, you will be responsible for working on Cisco's newest and most groundbreaking entries into the Datacentre market segment. For example, Cisco Tetration, our new analytics platform that delivers visibility across everything in the datacentre in real time. It provides behaviour-based application insight with deep forensics, while also creating a highly secure and reliable zero-trust model. This dramatically simplifies the customer's operations, and allows them to make changes intelligently.

Who You'll Work With

This high profile sales role will require a hunter type individual to work alongside our account teams, partners and business units to drive revenue from new & existing customers in the region. We have already developed sales enablement programs, customer workshops and test drives for you to leverage This role covers a range of verticals, several of which are narrowly focused for strategic accounts. We are looking for a confident leader that is eager to help define strategic and competitive strategies and go to market plans in Switzerland & Southern Europe.

You will play a critical role in enabling Cisco to bring new products to market in both core and adjacent markets. Your team will have fun working together and challenging each other on a daily basis!

Who You Are

A successful & senior Sales Professional with experience in the following areas:

  • Being at the forefront of understanding, and being able to communicate a strategy and vision in this marketplace.

  • Building an in-depth business expertise in the underlying and associated technologies and architectures.

  • You will be able to demonstrate a hunting mentality to build and define a sales strategy for a given geographic market segment.

  • You will execute on a business plan to gain market share, build solid relationships with customers and internal teams.

  • You will engage with clients, partners and account teams which will require some travel
