What You'll Do
The Partner Account Manager in Cisco is the key contact for our Partners and will be responsible for owning and nurturing the relationships, building and executing the Go To Market & Service Creation strategies. Your success will reflect in sales achievements, long term customer relationships and partner happiness. You will help to maximize revenue of your aligned Partners with both Cisco’s product and services. This involves but not limited to the following activities
Responsible for a number of Partners, including indigenous Scottish Partners and to be the local PAM for a number of UK wide partners with Scottish offices.
Manage and develop all of your Partners in alignment with local sales plan and ambitions. Owning portfolio development and customer segment strategy. Be the face towards all of our partners
Maintaining relationships with partner executives to increase Cisco’s relevance to the their business
Provides cross functional thought leadership related to Partner Strategy
Ensuring that partners have the necessary accreditations to sell or provide managed services on the relevant Cisco technologies
Introduction of both new technology and service offerings to partners and ensuring these are added to their portfolio and brought to market in a timely fashion
Ensuring partners maximise commercial structures around Cisco programmes – CMSP, annuity, VIP, TMP, Hunting, Teaming etc
Set growth targets, establish support structure and review and control achievement
Develop existing partners to ensure highest customer satisfaction
Educating Cisco High Touch on the benefits of working with aligned channel partners
Represent Cisco and Cisco´s Partner strategy at key events/conferences and in the press and establish Cisco as the Vendor #1
Encourages Co-Marketing Activities and targeted Partner Marketing Funds/Virtual Wallet spending in alignment with Marketing team.
Ensure integrated communications about all relevant topics to our channel landscape while leveraging new media platforms
Manage interactions with all functions, including interface to Cisco EMEAR and WW Partner functions
Work with local team to find, on-board and develop new partners, especially those with specific technology focus. i.e. Security, DC, IoT etc
Maintain awareness of competitive threats and how to counter them. Understand competitors’ technologies, along with their strengths and weaknesses.
Organise and contribute to QBRs & regular meetings
Own and manage weekly booking process activities with partners in close alignment with Cisco sales operations and operation lead
Ensures Operational readiness, compensation, business metrics definition
Ensuring 100% compliance with internal rules and local laws
Who You'll Work With
Working as a core member of the Cisco Scotland team but with alignment to the UKI Channel Team. You will be responsible for the Service Creation and GTM strategies and execution across all Cisco architectures including: Collaboration, DC, Cloud, Security, and Enterprise Network Solutions.
Who You Are
• You bring at least 3+ years of sales experience in a dynamic IT, Software, Services and Solution business.
• Demonstrate success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• You will have experience in driving cross functional teams in Product Management, Service Creation, or equivalent project based roles
• Able to understand, articulate and position the value of a technology-based solution to the customer
• You will need to have a deep understanding in developing trusted partner relationships from working level to Executive level.
• Ability to match market requirements and partner strategy with state of the art technology solutions.
• Negotiation skills to craft solutions that are beneficial to our partners and Cisco overall.
• Confidence in applying business and financial expertise to identify and qualify opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use and engage internal resources such as Marketing, Technology Experts, Pre-sales, Sales, Services and others.
