What You’ll Do

We are looking for highly motivated, Senior Sales Engineer to help drive opportunities in broadband Data and Mobility space. In this position, you will be working with and positioning multiple Cisco technologies & products in the data center, Mobility and WiFI solutions. The engagement will require pre-sales engineering activities leveraging Cisco UCS, Routing and Switching infrastructure and Cisco’s evolved Packet Core solutions (ePC). The candidate will also will have an exposure to technologies related to design of IP Video networks.

Who You Are

You’re an experienced pre-sales engineer who is able to give products/technology presentations, product demos, and build key relationships in the account. You must be able to work closely with Sales Account Managers, Regional Managers, Systems Engineering Managers, and various Product Sales Specialists to drive business and help build a pipeline of new opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn, to grow, and to gain significant internal and industry visibility. Position traditionally is one which grows into a technical leader. Role is for a pre-sales engineer that will work closely with the customer and account peers to identify & qualify opportunities, understand the customer's business objectives and to align a Cisco solution (existing or new) to meet business, technical & customer timelines. He/she provides an architectural perspective across the Cisco product portfolio and can leverage his / her technical specialization for specific opportunities.


  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a pre-sales or consultative role working with the following technologies required: Strong Routing & Switching, x86 Computing Architecture, Network Virtualization, and WiFI

  • Exposure to public and private cloud and DC architectures is highly desirable.

  • Ideally the candidate has experience in Mobility space with knowledge of 4G/LTE, 5G Packet Core solutions.

  • Experience and knowledge of with Video technologies like Video Encoding, IP/Video CDN is a plus

  • Knowledge and understanding of Software Automation evolution, Micro-Services architecture and Container networking is ideal.

  • Effective sales skills are extremely important.

  • Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required.

  • Pre-Sales experience required

  • In-depth knowledge of baseline SE skills and in-depth knowledge in at least one area of specialization.

  • Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications.

  • Competitive knowledge (in their area of specialization) including solution, technology and product offerings.

  • Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

  • Candidate will have accomplishments highlighting close collaboration with customers, and developing solutions based upon Service Provider requirements.

  • Experience working competently within a large, complex, geographically matrixed organization.

  • Candidate should be ready to show strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate up and down the org chart, from Engineer to Senior Vice President.

  • BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.

  • CCIE certification highly desirable and/or preferred
