What You’ll Do
The Global Service Provider (GSP) Americas Media group is at the forefront of Cisco’s ambition to be a key partner and vendor to the world’s biggest content and entertainment companies. We arehiring a Sales & Operations Director for the Media Operation. In this role, you will help drive the vision and transformation of the media industry as it consolidates and moves to full digitization.
As the GSP Americas Media Operations Director you will be responsible for driving the day to day sales and operational aspects for the Media business, with customers such as Disney, NBCU, and professional sports leagues.
Specific duties will include:
Definition and Implementation of the organization’s Strategy
Communication of priorities and progress across the Media Operation
Accurate forecasting of the week, month, quarter, and FY, leveraging SFDC and its capabilities
Developing Executive Relationships with our key Customers, Partners and Virtual Sales Organization
This role requires travel to key Customers and Partners.
Who You’ll Work With
This position reports to the VP for Global Service Provider, Cable & Media vertical. The ability to engage Sales and Engineering leaders across various internal and external organizations is a requirement, along with close collaboration with BUs, Finance and other orgs. Executive presence, data at the ready, and the ability to create clarity for decision making is the foundation of success.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
BS or equivalent with MBA preferred
5+ years in management roles selling solutions to senior executives at named accounts
Both sales leadership and cross functional/general management experience
Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team to understand their customers’ long-term plans/strategies and help position Cisco as a key partner for the media and entertainment industry
Demonstrated track record managing significant revenue responsibility and or profit/loss center and overachieving targets to meet stretch goals
Business Development and Strategy experience required
Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision (both written and verbal) and influence cross-functionally
Adept at balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals
Strong executive presence, polish, and political savvy
Strong leadership skills in coaching and developing a sales organization
Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade -- using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way
