WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will join the SOX Program Management Office as a Process Lead who will partner with Process Team Leads of cross-functional organizations and SOX Specialists in the execution of core SOX activities, including: scoping, walkthroughs, issues evaluation and remediation tracking, and supporting the external audit activities. You will lead optimization of business processes based on financial risk and controls assessments and ensure we have an effective control environment with in Cisco.

You will work on enabling transformational capabilities for Cisco by ensuring SOx compliance of the updates we make to our systems and processes. You will effectively communicate with key partners on their roles and responsibilities in supporting an effective internal control risk assessment.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will operate as a Strategic Partner with key stakeholders to include SOX IT, external auditors, and Business Process Teams and respective cross-functional organizations.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a highly motivated, self-starter with strengths in communications and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines. You have deep understanding of accounting and knowledge of financial statement risk. You can work independently to resolve issues, organized, and can be an advocate to ensure compliance and risk are priorities as we implement changes at Cisco.

OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

  • 8+ years of finance/accounting experience (specifically Revenue, with knowledge of risk, controls and compliance)

  • BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record

  • CPA or Big 4 experience preferred

  • Experience initiating process improvements or establishing strategic initiatives

  • Knowledge of risk, controls and compliance

  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Excellent organization skills with attention to detail
