What You'll Do

This role requires supervisor-level experience with the manual and automated aspects of the Privacy Response workflow. As a result, this role also requires the Privacy Investigator to participate in the team level operational coverage of the privacy request queue.

  • You will partner with multiple organizational sources across Cisco and evaluate data privacy reference documents. You will identify users of personal data that require central administration.

  • You will work with Data Protection Operating Team staff within Cisco to integrate their process and staff into central personal data administration.

  • You will establish work relationships with staff from personal data users/application to assure their proper use of the Cisco Privacy Statement and partnership on response strategy.

  • You will engage with the DP&P internal support teams (Legal, IT, DPOT...) to assist in validation of integration requirements.

  • You will collaborate with personal data user/application staff to establish operational processes for responding to privacy requests.

  • You will document adoption status for quarterly reporting of compliance metrics.

  • You will define and improve operational workflow for automated and manual privacy response work assignment.

  • You will participate in privacy queue coverage to assure detailed knowledge of case workflow and challenges to help guide process and tooling improvements.

  • You will prepare and refine documentation to assist hiring and engagement of new Privacy Response Analysts.

  • You will share lessons learned from research and resolution efforts to assure consistency in global team response.

In this role, you will use documents and discussions to understand where personal data is used and to determine Cisco’s obligation to administer it. This will provide the Investigator the opportunity to help data users understand their obligations and the options for performing them.

You will be responsible for the workflow integration of recent privacy request types and to identify personal data administrators across Cisco product/service offerings for inclusion in response efforts. You will liaise with InfoSec, M&A, Marketing, DP&P and all teams across Cisco that are using personal data. The mission is to build new work partnerships to oversee the operational response to personal privacy requests for account deletion, profile data access and change administration, then integrate the new partner into existing response efforts.

The Privacy Response Investigator is part of a team that satisfies requests for the administration of personal data in compliance with global privacy regulations. The Privacy Investigator’s primary role is to establish and enforce that Cisco users of personal information are integrated with the data administration strategy and response efforts of the DP&P Incident Command team.
