In this role, working in a highly multi-functional manner across Cisco’s security development, cloud tenant business units (BU), and cloud security teams, the Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) will shape, guide and evangelize Cisco’s CSDL Automated Security Validation Capabilities. Additionally, working in an Agile/lean development environment, as a Product Owner, you will own and be responsible for our roadmap, guiding our automated security validation development, identifying Cisco cloud tenant security requirements and prioritizing engineering activities. A portfolio champion with business value insights, you will help establish and drive strategy & roadmaps.

Who You'll Work With

The role of this Technical Marketing Engineer is to define, champion & evangelize our cloud automated security validation to ultimately enable broad adoption by our Cloud Tenants. Additionally, with your cloud, security and product ownership expertise, you will define, shape and drive the future direction of our cloud security compliance capabilities. In these capacities you will work closely with our development engineering and cloud tenant BU teams, while working with the broader IT organization, CSDL teams and the cloud security organization (CSO).

Who You Are

  • You have significant experience designing, developing, deploying, and operating XaaS applications and services.

  • You have a deep understanding of various classes of security weaknesses and vulnerabilities & also mitigations techniques

  • You have a proven foundation of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL). A working knowledge of how to various SDL requirements can be applied to Cloud Offerings

  • You demonstrate strong social and technical communication skills, abilities to influence others at different levels of the company and significant experience working with multiple programs and partners at once.

  • Strong understanding of Cisco Cloud offerings such as WebEx, Stealthwatch, OpenDNS

  • In a cloud engineering/development environment, you have 8-10+ years of experience in a highly technical role, including Product Owner or Technical Marketing experience developing cloud security services, products or technologies, with accountability for a technology or product roadmap.

  • Understand and participate in high level design discussions for the purpose of ensuring a common understanding of expectations and deliverables towards adoption by internal customers.

  • Good understanding of CI/CD and/or DevOps and their application to Cloud Services

  • You are energized in working with software engineers who build intelligent security automation capabilities to expose vulnerabilities

  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills. Proven ability in creating and delivering product & service related collateral, white papers and business/technical presentations.

  • You are very familiar with the OWASP top 10 and their application to Cloud Services

  • You are passionate, highly motivated and eager to affect significant impact, and to develop new skills. With a zeal for learning you are confident diving into business & technical subjects outside of your comfort zone. A consummate team-player, with outstanding listening, collaboration & communication skills.

  • Additionally, working in an Agile/lean development environment, as a Product Owner, you will own and be responsible for our roadmap, guiding development, identifying Cisco cloud tenant requirements and prioritizing engineering activities and investments.

  • College degree with a BS in Engineering or Computer Science, MS preferred. Any additional technical training, including CCSP, CISSP, CCIE or cybersecurity related certifications is a plus.

This position will reside in RTP, North Carolina.
