Who You'll Work With

The role of the University Recruiting Business Partner is to be the interface and advisor to the functional business leads on all aspects of the university hiring process. This role is responsible for the team of recruiters required to deliver the functional hiring plan as well as to guide the University Managers aligned to the sourcing and event strategy required to fill the demand. This role requires the RBP to provide industry insight and strategic direction that maximizes the impact to Cisco’s talent acquisition at the graduate and intern hiring level. This role is part of the broader Cisco Talent Acquisition team and reports to the Americas University Recruiting Lead.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as POC for aligned function within the region

  • Lead the global functional team with the other Recruiting Business Partners – own the representation of the respective region.

  • Drive key measures around demand fulfilment, time to fill, intern conversion and offer accept rates.

  • In partnership with the University Manager team, take the lead to create the attraction and selection strategy and supporting processes

  • Participate in global functional business updates with business contacts as well as the global university recruiting team

  • Ensure delivery of the full end to end recruitment cycle for that function

  • Act the functional Project Manager for the region:

  • Agree on communication plan with business POC

  • Monitor deadlines, pipeline delivery and communicate status

  • Proactively mitigate pipeline challenges with business POC and help with solution identification

  • If relevant, manage resources and budget needs against functional delivery

  • Confirm with regional team the demand from the business POC and roll up any issues to business POC

  • Collate and understand all functional role requirements, profile and skills

  • Provide consultation and advice regarding selection process

  • Advise and drive topics such as:

  • Comp and benefits

  • Market Timelines

  • Intern to FT ratio of demand

  • Feasibility of project

  • Ideal time to hire

  • Season end dates etc

Who You Are

Experience/Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Experience in recruitment process design

  • Experience in using an ATS system, system design and optimization

  • Must have excellent stakeholder/relationship management skills

  • Be able to influence, negotiate and proactively drive strategy

  • Project management and planning skills

  • Strong understanding of industry trends, competitors and related legislation

  • Ability to prioritize, take initiative and solve problems

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Must be detail oriented, possess exceptional organizational and follow through skills, have the ability to multi-task, and manage the demands of simultaneous processes while still operating with a sense of urgency and thoroughness

  • Proven ability to work in fast paced/dynamic environment and be team oriented

  • Recruitment program reporting experience is beneficial

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Previous experience in high volume or University recruitment role within a high tech environment (preferred)

  • 3 Plus Years of specific UR related experience
