What You'll Do
The Cisco Security Business Group (SBG) Finance team is growing and looking for a talented Data Analyst to come aboard. As a Data Analyst for our Finance team, your work is used to uncover insights about the financial operations of Cisco, helping to drive important strategic decisions.
You will develop and maintain security business group (SBG) analytics reporting and processes that provide insights to business performance and key company metrics for a fast growing, SaaS-based department.
You’ll provide regular, timely reporting and performance monitoring to Finance, Executive Team, and other key business stakeholders.
You’ll develop data collection and appropriate analytical tools, models and processes.
You will synthesize data from various sources such as AWS MySQL, Oracle ERP, SFDC, Zuora, and other internal systems.
You’ll think creatively to find optimal solutions to our complex, often unstructured problems.

Who You Are
You are passionate about analytics and are able to approach complex problems in an organized and detail-oriented manner. As Finance touches on all aspects of the business, you should have the desire to learn about customer behavior and the meaningful drivers of various departments.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
You have 3+ years of experience working with SQL and relational data, with a solid grasp of financial and accounting concepts as well as familiarity with SaaS metrics.
You have 2+ years of experience working with large-scale data.
You bring strong experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python or Ruby.
You have experience working with Excel, ERP and Financial Planning tools, experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, or Birst and experience identifying and debugging data problems.
You have exposure to automating processes and building ETL pipelines (using tools like Informatica).
