Building and sharing compelling messaging that help our teams better connect with our business, culture, and direction is important to mission. As Meraki’s new Internal Communications Associate, you will work closely with 1-2 departments to craft and share important content that helps keep everyone informed and inspires action. We’re looking for someone who can listen intently to understand what resonates, loves to experiment, and brings creative ideas to ensure that key information lands clearly across audiences. What you will do:

  • Execute on an internal communications plan that reinforces business strategy, cultural values, and company updates. Work within internal messaging guidelines, approaches, and cadences to build cross-team communication and improve the sharing of critical information.

  • Partner closely with leaders to own the internal communication program for assigned departments. Work with external consultants and communications leadership to coach leaders on messaging and delivery.

  • Regularly attend department meetings to listen and collect feedback and information to develop relevant and timely communications

  • Be responsible for the content for department-level events/communications such as townhalls and all-hands; assist in the design and execution of ongoing communications vehicles such as newsletters, presentations, and intranets

  • Partner with Marketing and Sales on product launches and other Cisco events/meetings (GSX, Cisco Live) to ensure communication effectiveness and alignment

You have:

  • 3+ years experience communicating change or complex processes to a wide audience

  • Cross team program management expertise

  • Experience influencing leaders at all levels

  • A bachelor’s degree with a major in communications, journalism, marketing or related field preferred

  • Experience in communicating across cultures or international experience a plus.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
