The Cisco Meraki Training & Evangelism team is seeking a passionate and seasoned network engineer as an Infrastructure Architect to help build and manage Meraki training infrastructures worldwide.

The Training & Evangelism team works across Meraki to develop and deliver scalable training programs that support the expansion of Meraki adoption in the market. In order to facilitate a great participant experience, our training programs rely on a large amount of back-end infrastructure that is managed in-house by the Training & Evangelism team. This position collaborates with training participants and internal teams to design and implement platform, server, network and storage infrastructure, technology adoption plans, project lifecycle management, and long-term strategy for a large, complex, global training environment.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define design principles, roadmaps, models, internal standards, budgets, and processes based on industry standard methodologies and internal requirements

  • Design, plan, maintain, monitor and operate the infrastructure networks, security, and computing platforms to meet current and future training needs

  • Create the required design and support documentation for projects, systems builds, processes and changes

  • Ensure compliance of proposed technology solutions with the Information Security policies and processes of the Meraki organization

  • Demonstrate and practice defined testing for all changes in the production environment

  • Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events and minimize operational complexity providing hands-on support where necessary

  • Work occasional evening or weekend hours for project implementations and support

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years in a data center or infrastructure role with hands-on experience in the following areas: network design and troubleshooting (routing/switching, security, wireless, voice, etc), virtualized environments (VMWare ESXi and vCenter), cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc), Windows (Active Directory domain management, NPS, etc), and Cisco overlay and security products (Prime, ISE, DNAC, etc).

  • Experience managing large infrastructure or IT projects owning the planning and execution for the lifecycle of the project

  • Experience designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions

  • Experience establishing infrastructure processes and creating supporting documentation

  • Demonstrated ability to share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to people at various levels within the organization in a clear and concise manner that is relevant to each of the groups

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a credible school

  • Preferred certifications: CCNP, CCDP, VCP(X)-DCV, VCP(X)-NV, MCSA, MCSE, CMNA

  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with Meraki hardware and services highly desired

  • Excitement about traveling 10% to manage distributed infrastructure

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Strong English required
