What You'll Do

You will be the Finance Manager responsible for Revenue modeling, Gross Margin analysis and driving profitable growth for Computing Systems Business Entity.

Major responsibilities:

  • Will own and handle Gross Margin reporting, GM Walk

  • Lead the Monthly/Quarterly close activities, forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, and ad hoc responsibilities for Revenue and GM

  • Work with Supply Chain team and drive productivity in NMS

  • Drive profitability with a focus o n Price and cost savings

  • Manage and be responsible for the financial model for platform level reporting

  • Ensure fiduciary compliance in all aspects of the business

  • Initiate and lead financial strategy discussions

  • Work operational improvements and simplification projects

Who You'll Work With

Computing Systems is a complex business with a wide range of products having different pricing and margin profile. You will partner with Product Managers, Marketing team and provide financial insight and analytics that will drive key business decisions.

You will closely work with the Product Management team and Marketing team on profitability and analytics. You will also work with Central teams like Pricing and Supply Chain team.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Related field (Finance or Accounting preferred), with 7+ years of related experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A or related areas with Cisco financial and planning processes preferred.

  • You have an understanding and experience in participating in the development of business plans, forecasting, financial summaries and/or statements.

  • You understand the P&L line items and are able to create new financial and analytical model.

  • You are well versed with Hyperion Essbase and Business Objects

  • You have a deep understanding of US GAAP and its application and understand interdependency of financial accounts and functions.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Systems Experience:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint): Proficiency Required: Expert - someone who can use, modify, and develop complex spreadsheets (modeling functions, pivots, filters, graphs). Management of large amounts of data is a requirement as well as the ability to summarize it in a clean and impactful presentation format.

  • ESSBASE. Proficiency Preferred: Intermediate - you are able to build and refresh ESSBASE queries.

  • Cisco Applications: Proficiency Intermediate - important for Planning, Reporting and Integration: P&L (FINBI & Hyperion), Bookings (Demantra)

  • Business Objects. Proficiency Preferred: Intermediate - numerous queries already exist, however it will be required for you to update and manipulate for more granular analysis

  • Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
