Operating in the first level leadership role for the Component Engineering (CE) team, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities which facilitate the development, qualification and continuous improvement of semiconductor components, and which results in components that exceed quality and reliability performance requirements deployed across a wide range of Cisco products.

  • Partner with Cisco development engineering, global supply chain and supplier quality teams to enable our suppliers to develop next generation architectures and component solutions.

  • Define, maintain, and drive component manufacturer compliance to Cisco integrated circuit Level 1 / Level 2 component qualification requirements.

  • Partner with global supply management teams to develop our commodity sourcing strategy, enable supplier selection, and conduct supplier audits.

  • Ensure consistency and the highest quality in our run-the-business activities including AVL management, component qualification, supplier component design and supplier manufacturing process evolution.

  • Maintain a collaboration approach with component suppliers to facilitate an outcome where everybody wins.

  • Assess and qualify new semiconductor manufacturers and manufacturing technologies.

  • Facilitate use of best practices for systematic and continuous improvement of development and run-the-business policies, processes and procedures.

  • Act as lead to drive component failure analysis, containment and corrective actions. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering management teams to resolve complex technical problems.

  • Senior Management level collaboration that spans across Cisco business units, manufacturing partners and suppliers.

  • Develop a high performance team and culture to deliver significant business results to meet Cisco evolving needs.

Required Skills

  • Manufacturing supply chain

  • BS / MS in Engineering with 10+ years semiconductor component design or manufacturing, and 5+years management / leadership experience.
