Routing Lead


The Enterprise routing team is looking for our next game changing team member in America Theater. This individual will be part of a team that drives Go-To-Market and impact Cisco’s Enterprise routing business in America.

This individual will be responsible for driving Go-To-Market for Enterprise routing across America. The individual will be partnering with sales, product managers and marketing team to drive enterprise routing business with Customers and Cisco Partners and Distributors. In order to achieve this, the team is looking for someone who has strong sales experience, product manager skills and experience, a solid technical foundation, influence capabilities and can articulate Cisco’s value to a large or small audience and an appreciation of Volume and Value sale.

The Team

The Enterprise Products and Solutions Organization at Cisco is responsible for $34B in annual revenue and the strategy, solutions, and products that come along with the management and growth of that revenue. This team works across Cisco's product and technology development groups and partners to create solutions that ultimately hold supreme value for the customers. From their core business of routing, wireless and switching to their new technologies in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Connected Mobile Experience (CMX) and the Internet of Everything (IoE) - there is not an enterprise customer segment Cisco doesn't touch in some significant way. Cisco's range of customers is vast and wide…from global tech behemoths to worldwide manufacturers to local small businesses and everything in between.

Role & Responsibilities

Managing the core Routing business and its contribution to theater overall Sales. Identifying trends within the business and exploiting areas of strength for replication, and owning the get-well plans and strategy for weaker areas.

Work across Theater Sales in Customer GTM’s, Partners and Distributors to co-define deliberate market campaigns / offers, install base modernization, execution plans, accountability and success measures. Leverage short term and long term levers across the segments to accelerate adoption / transitions in Product portfolio.

Develop, maintain and influence the broader seller community to assist in sales of Routing technology. Specifically ability to guide and influence; System Engineers, Account Managers, Partner Account Managers, Territory Account Managers.

Inter-locking with the Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Services, and Theater GTM teams to gather feedback on product family performance, and provide suggestions for accelerating growth and / or minimizing decline.

Champion the competitive landscape for Routing within [theatre] and provide local field-based information with regards to pricing, positioning and sales strategies. Actively work in cross-theatre competitive teams to share knowledge and execute winning strategies.

Drive strategic, GTM Routing campaigns that require creative and complex cross functional solutions.

Provide inspiring presentations to large sales audiences at events such as Partner and Customer Roadshows, Cisco Live, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years Experience in product management, sales, business, channels, engineering

Deep Business/Market knowledge relating to the prescribed portfolios

Demonstrating ability to work cross-functionally with multiple organizations and Theatre/Field sales personnel

Leadership experience strongly encouraged
