What You’ll Do
You’ll oversee the Olympic and Paralympic sponsorship portfolio of one of the world’s top 20 brands, setting the strategy for all Olympic bids. You’ll also partner closely with the global sponsorships team and closely align these activities with the company’s overall marketing and brand strategy.
In addition, you will work with the sales and field marketing organizations to ensure Olympic programs drive shared objectives. You’ll play a collaborative role in guiding the consistent sponsorship marketing strategy with all core international markets.
You’ll own the relationship with key internal senior executives as well as external rights-holders, and evangelize the opportunities to maximize these investments through an internal communication strategy you will lead.
You will be the face of the organization with external parties and partners associated with sponsorship marketing activities, serving as our representative, educating them on our brand strategy and values, and ensuring we maximize our relationships.
You’ll lead the team’s relationship with relevant sales verticals, establishing and managing important metrics and budgets, and leading internal communications for the discipline.
You’ll be the conduit for setting the guidelines and identifying and securing approved sponsorships and leading the rationale for those that are not.
You’ll be able to integrate brand and product campaigns with sponsorship platforms to maximize the value and opportunity these investments represent.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll work closely with the senior staff of Corporate Marketing and Brand at Cisco. They have worked in some of the world’s largest agencies and for some of its most famous brands. Yet for all that experience, have a refreshing lack of ego.

Who You Are
You have a strong track record of leading cross functional teams, working with international markets, across marketing disciplines, and managing agency resources.
You have at least 12 years of experience in sponsorship marketing across a diverse array of both sports and entertainment properties working with Fortune 500 brands.
You have had international marketing experience working with sponsorship properties in Europe, Asia, and/or Latin America. You can teach us a thing or two of how other global brands drive results through sponsorship and media partnerships, and how to apply cutting-edge technologies to deliver break-through experiential programs.
You have managed a diverse marketing team either on the brand or agency side, based their skill set, background, and geography.
You have led integrated marketing and experiential campaigns around sponsorship properties from brand, segmentation, and product alignment, through oversight of event logistics, operations, compliance, and customer experience/hospitality design and delivery.
You have extensive experience working with consumer or B2B brands driving both brand and sales results.
You have a talent to make complicated products, processes and programs easy to communicate, understand, and implement.
You are a self-proclaimed ‘techie’ and are passionate about the innovations taking place around us every day.
You are able to rally, persuade and motivate eclectic stakeholders with multiple viewpoints by understanding their needs and identifying solutions that best serve the greater good.
You have the perseverance and the patience to see global multi-year programs through to the last detail.
You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or other appropriate field. MBAs or other advanced degrees are welcome too.
You hold the door for others when you see they might be following you.
