What You'll Do
You'll help us build the next generation of the lean manufacturing and security platform for enabling optimization in the testing of all Cisco products. The Technology and Quality Systems Group seeks a motivated, experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead, design and develop a broad range of next generation features as part of its virtual manufacturing execution and security platform. The foundational features of the next generation platform are solidly in place. This is an opportunity to lead in the next phase of product development. You will be collaborating with Test Engineering and Manufacturing organizations to enable key features for upcoming new products.
Who You'll Work
Our team is a small agile team that is developing this next generation advanced virtual manufacturing software platform. You will be a part of this dynamic team and build advanced software on the Linux stack using Python, Java and C++. We use the Cassandra big data backend and advanced visualization technologies (HTML5 with JS/Angular/React). You have a rare opportunity to join this disruptive dynamic software team and unleash the capabilities of the new platform.
Who You Are
You've got experience designing and implementing complex software systems. You are a top-tier expert in python programming and are passionate about unleashing your knowledge to develop creative products. You are conversant with agile development methodologies and work well in a team environment. You have good analytic and decision-making skills. Your strong communication skills help you influence others. Our minimum requirements for this role:
More than 5 years software development experience.
Strong technical and leadership skills to understand customer solutions, topologies and interactions in a multi-functional development environment.
Demonstrated interest in open source technologies and tools.
