What You'll Do
As part of the global Enterprise Networks Go-To-Market Marketing team, you will be working with some of the smartest marketing folks to change the way our target audiences feel about networking technologies. You are a strategic thinker capable of fostering technology innovations into simple content while aligning to a bigger picture. You have experience with B2B communications and understand the technology industry. You will be responsible for ensuring Enterprise Networks achieves its social media goals by crafting, improving, and maintaining strategic social media deliverables across all networking product families to target audiences.
As a Social Media Specialist, you will direct social strategy and execution for Cisco’s Enterprise Networks efforts.
The role requires a teammate who has the confidence to lead projects and work across dynamic groups in a large corporate environment.
They will assess and determine the proper social strategy and how it’s integrated with the organization programs and digital journeys across the marketing mix.
Good analytical skills and can communicate expertly with high-level clients, in both verbal and written formats
Work with and direct multiple external agencies on the following:
Asset creation, including infographics, videos, interactive widgets, social whitepapers, blogs, etc.
Social property and community management, including social copy development
Social listening, measurement, optimization
SME event & blog programs
Work with social media team to place content on social media sites and distribute content to partners who can amplify content in social media
Track results of content performance, analyze which content is most successful, create and distribute reports
Who You’ll Work With
The role operates within the global Enterprise Networks Go-To-Market Marketing team supporting Cisco’s core business. We are responsible for delivering the outbound and inbound vision and messages to the targeted audience while coordinating marketing efforts across the globe by partnering with our regional and extended marketing teams.
Who You Are
You are considered an “expert” in social media, well versed in a variety of social networking sites, and can think outside-the-box.
3+ years of experience in social media and digital marketing
You have experience supporting B2B marketing activities.
You possess strong writing abilities, well versed in identifying and developing relevant content, and handling editorial calendars.
Experience managing third-party agencies
Ability to prioritize and lead large scale projects.
Knowledgeable of back-end content management systems
Consistent track record as a community manager and social media advocate
Experience with social media reporting and analytics
Ability to establish and champion cross-functional relationships to help build a holistic social media approach
