What You'll Do

Looking for a talented, motivated C Modeling Engineer for ASIC/Software development to join the team and participate in the development of highly complex ASICs.You should have a Network ASIC background, C-model and verification expertise with hands-on experience in UVM, C++, scripting, as well as in-depth knowledge of the networking forwarding concepts.

You will collaborate closely with the software team and ASIC design team to develop the next generation system. In addition, you will engage with distinguished engineers to develop new ways to support the latest forwarding functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design C++ models.

  • Define and develop new forwarding features and protocols.

  • Develop/maintain the C++ infrastructure for network modeling.

  • Develop/maintain infrastructure scripts (Python & Perl).

  • Help support block level Verification team.

  • Work with Design team to ensure correct forwarding functionality at a system level.

  • Engage in feature brainstorming session.

Who You'll Work With

You’ll be part of a team within Cisco’s Data Center Networking Group, focusing on developing a modeling infrastructure to enable early Software development of the latest networking features and protocols

Who You Are

  • Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EE .

  • 6-10 years of ASIC experience.

  • 3-5 years C++ Modeling experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent C, C++ programming and debugging skills

  • Excellent Scripting experience (Python, Perl, TCL, shell programming)

  • Strong Networking forwarding knowledge.

  • Proficient in UVM knowledge.

  • Ability to debug network modeling issues

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Collaborative and team-focused, with the drive to learn and grow
