UI/Front-End Developer

An integrated part of Data Center organization, the Data Center Network Manager team is responsible for monitoring and automating the management of Cisco’s Nexus portfolio. The DCNM team is looking for a strong Front-End Engineer to help deliver new UI features that will elevate the experiences of our global customers, improve the existing management system, and work to define future goals for improvement and development.

An ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of JavaScript/HTML/CSS/REST with good understanding on asynchronous request handling for partial page updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in design, architecture, implementation, and support for new and existing features.

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

  • Design and build tools and frameworks to support existing product.

  • Collaborate and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of design and development experience in Angular JS/ReactJS/Node JS or similar MVC frameworks.

  • Strong knowledge in coding user interfaces for Web applications and Web pages using HTML5, Ajax, JavaScript, JQuery, cookies, session variables and related client side technologies.

  • Good understanding on asynchronous request handling, partial page updates & AJAX.

  • Experience in building web applications that process large amounts of data in ‘Real-time’.

  • Well-versed with modern browser technologies & cross browser compatibility issues.

  • Development exposure on products with ‘Micro services’ will be an added advantage.

Nice to have:

  • Full stack, comfortable working on mobile, frontend, as well as server-side.

  • Experience with PWA.

  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
