Who You Are
We are looking for an exceptional Strategic Planning Manager who is a seasoned business leader with significant relevant experience, a broad and well-rounded set of skills, high level of energy, flexibility, organization savviness, perpetual enthusiasm to lead a large matrixed team, partner with senior Cisco business leaders, drive cross-functional initiatives, learn new skills, and take on new responsibilities, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Our team, TCG VP Office Business Operations, plays a critical role in defining and driving strategic, operational, and organizational improvements across TCG. We work closely with TCG Leadership and other Cisco functions and business units to drive planning activities and day to day operations to ensure business processes meet the needs and objectives of the business. What You'll Do
Strategic Planning Lead is a key leadership role with significant visibility across our portfolio of businesses and our executive leadership team. You will work through leaders to develop and execute our long term growth strategy. You will lead cross-functional special project teams to identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities and/or strategic problems, and to accelerate action against these priorities through strategic and long-range business planning and performance management.
In this highly visible role, you will:
Drive project work streams to identify and evaluate critical strategic growth opportunities and/or strategic priorities, and develop recommendations and executable plans to catalyze action
Drive strategic planning process, including development of short and long term Strategic Plans and Quarterly and Annual Business Review cycles
Lead quantitative and qualitative analytic work that unlocks business insights and drives sound decision making on key business issues
Collaborate with key leaders across the business to deliver best-in-class business solutions
Develop and communicate strategic plans, scorecards and business solutions through high-impact, executive level presentations
Bachelor's degree, MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred
Minimum of 8-10 years' total experience in corporate development, business development, corporate strategic planning, management consulting, finance or related fields
Strategy development experience with high tech companies
Excellent leadership, management, strategic influencing, creative thinking, conflict resolution, and team building skills
Exceptional team player with the ability to quickly develop and foster stakeholder relationships, and strong collaboration skills, with demonstrated track record of leading or working with cross-functional teams
Able to quickly drive, communicate and gain support for decisions in unstructured environments
Strategic Framing, Scoping and Problem Solving.Strong desire to get beyond the abstract and general to deliver rigorous, nuanced and actionable recommendations; proven ability to deliver insightful data analysis & synthesis that uncovers customer and market opportunities
Exceptional analytical skills. Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations.
High tech industry experience a must
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills and executive presence, with the ability to address and influence both executive and mid-level management audiences.
Candidate must be a self-starter, independent, and a driver. And candidate must be detail oriented, proactive, takes initiative and highly organized, and act with a sense of urgency.
