What You'll Do

You'll help our VP of Global Service Provider (GSP) Marketing as the lead in Strategy, Planning, and Operations by connecting with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders to help refine, execute, and optimize GSP results. The operational foundations of the team are already in place, but we need a passionate leader who can take us to the next level. Refinement of our ability to assess success, optimize investment, and impact our cross-functional peers is required to help continue to grow the business through strategic marketing efforts and outcomes. You will be the point to develop the story and write/coordinate presentations ranging from Executive level to external conferences.

Who You Are

You will assist the VP of Global Service Provider Marketing to implement an evolutionary plan to transform the unit toward a more customer-centric focus. You will learn our transformation approach and work to advance it: help lead the org in what it is going to do, keep team members accountable to producing exceptional marketing in line with the new direction. You can be agile and you have the ability to coach the org toward both tactical and strategic success. You've got the experience in workforce planning, on time execution of quarterly budgets, delivery of quarterly, annual, and long-term marketing plans, connecting the dots for team members by listening and asking questions given this role sees across the landscape.

You offer:

o 8-10 years of leading large-scale change leadership projects; developing change strategies to support large cross-functional and transformational programs

o Proven ability to identify and express complex value propositions into simple, understandable solutions (preferably across industries and customer groups)

o Strong leadership, people management, project management skills– Ability to lead the change management efforts, as well as cross-functional teams, to develop and execute complex change management programs.

o Ability to prioritize and manage competing requirements from various teams and individuals, keeping all apprised of status in sufficient time to adjust plans if needed rather than compromise results

o Capacity to thrive under pressure, tight deadlines, and work with highly passionate individuals

o Superior business communications (written, verbal, and graphical)

o Strong experience driving executive level change leadership

o Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a strong level of partnership at all levels of the organization. Highly collaborative, tolerant of and able to drive large diverse teams across the world through influence; demonstrated teamwork, collaboration/interaction skills (influencing, negotiating, etc.)

o High interest in using content and messaging to drive behavioral change. Business acumen and functional process knowledge - Ability to understand and articulate Value Propositions, Reasons to Believe, and convert technical specifications and functionality into real-world business outcomes.

o Capacity to identify areas of opportunities to improve processes and take the initiative to implement them.

o Business planning and problem-solving- Ability to develop plans and lead meetings that set strategy, objectives, and projects on complex business problems. Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, communicate those results in a timely and effective manner, combined with the ability to know when to bring in management to clarify or support efforts.

Requires BA/BS (Masters degree preferred) in relevant field/area (Marketing, Advertising, Org Effectiveness, Change Mgt., etc,). Business knowledge in Cisco, Engineering, Services, Sales, and/or Operations is preferred.

Experience in Service Provider Industry is a strong plus.
