What You'll Do
Cisco seeks aTechnical Leader for Software Test Engineering who will drive, scope, plan, architect and automate like a champ to raise the quality of our NX-OS software running our Cisco Nexus Switches. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn the Infrastructure and Programmability software technologies running on a wide range of Data Center switches. We are looking for candidates who are self-starters in a fast-paced start-up like environment. The work involves test strategy/design, execution, automation (using Python), white box testing (using C/C++) and test bed/topologies building. You will be a part of a fast-paced team that works very closely with development engineers responsible for verifying quality code for large complex systems requirements.

The position is for a Software Engineer for our Data Center Software QA Team. You will work on latest hardware and software feature on Nexus 9000 data center switches. You will work in one of the best engineering team to design solution for Cisco’s data center and service provider customers. Fast paced, fast learning and challenging work environment. Who You Are
You are a Test Engineer with minimum of 10-12 years of hands on experience with embedded Software testing and automation. You have a depth of networking knowledge with regards to networking switches (Cisco Certification preferred) and extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle. You are a true believer in the importance of automation at every level of testing and in streamlining process.
Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills, communication skills are required.
Python scripting skill is required.
At least basic Networking concepts is required.
Hands on experience with Linux, virtualization is a plus.
C/C++ development skills is a big plus.
BSCS, MS preferred
