What You'll Do

At Cisco Data Center you'll develop the Nexus 9000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility. We also developed a 40G Ethernet transceiver designed to drastically lower the price of 40G optics to better compete with other competitor switches.

Who You Are

You Have

Ability to define, architect, design, and deliver new software protocols and features for the ACI Platform

Ability to write complete functional and design specs independently

Ability to write portions of product specifications

Ability to design & Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly

Minimum Qualifications

*Strong C and python programming skills

*Experience in L2 and L3 Ethernet switching and routing protocols (some or all of the following protocols; IS-IS

*Hands on experience on switch/router embedded system software development

*Strong problem solving and software

*8+ years of related work experience is required

Desired Skills

*Experience with high availability related to switch/router products is a plus

*Experience in data center fabrics and corresponding technologies like VxLAN is a plus
