What You'll Do

An integrated part of Data Center organization, the Data Center Network Manager team is responsible for monitoring and automating the management of Cisco’s Nexus portfolio. The DCNM team is looking for a strong Front-End Engineer to help deliver new UI features that will elevate the experiences of our global customers, improve the existing management system, and work to define future goals for improvement and development.

An ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Javascript/HTML/CSS/REST with good understanding on asynchronous request handling for partial page updates.


Participate in design, architecture, implementation, and support for new and existing features.

Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Design and build tools and frameworks to support existing product

Collaborate and mentor junior engineers

Who You'll Work With

Data Center is developing the Nexus 9000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility. Data Center also developed a 40G Ethernet transceiver designed to drastically lower the price of 40G optics to better compete with other competitor switches.

Who You Are

5+ Years of design and development experience in Angular JS/ReactJS/Node JS or similar MVC frameworks.

Strong knowledge in coding user interfaces for Web applications and Web pages using HTML5, Ajax, JavaScript, JQuery, cookies, session variables and related client side technologies.

Good understanding on asynchronous request handling, partial page updates & AJAX.

Experience in building web applications that process large amounts of data in ‘Real-time’. Well versed with modern browser technologies & cross browser compatibility issues.

Development exposure on products with ‘Micro services’ will be an added advantage.

Nice to have:

Full stack, comfortable working on mobile, frontend, as well as server-side.

Experience with PWA.

Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
