Who You'll Work With

The Core Software Group (CSG) develops software across the routing, switch and wireless platform portfolio at Cisco and is investing heavily to transform networking through cutting-edge solutions that will change the way IT is consumed. This means your work will transform our customers' consumption of our systems from every angle.

CSG team in Cisco China R&D Center (CRDC) is responsible for L2/L3 features development on Cisco enterprise routing, switching and wireless platforms/products with combined multi-billion dollar revenues. The features include all L2/L3 fundamental functions (IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, QoS, LISP, VxLAN) and new generation Cisco enterprise solutions.

Working in this group, you will have opportunity to learn, contribute, design, architect the new generation Cisco enterprise solutions and products, across routing, switching and wireless portfolio.

This is an opportunity to work for Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) global project, you'll be part of the team to re-design the WLC to improve its modularity, manageability, performance & scale, serviceability and debug and testability.

What You'll Do

You're an experienced software developer to design, and implement software features on routing/switching and wireless platforms. You will:

  • Design, Implement and test the software features, with high quality standard.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at various stages such as PRD, functional spec, design reviews, coding and testing.

  • Support customer queries, escalations, to keep high customer satisfaction.

  • Uses expertise and creativity, to seek opportunity to improve, simply the existing features or innovate new features, solutions.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 3 year's software development experiences

  • Prior experience in developing routing, switching or wireless product.

  • Good understanding of networking protocols and different L2 to L7 technologies

  • IP Routing & Forwarding: IPv4, IPv6, L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, LISP, VxLAN, routing protocols

  • Experience in all phases of SW development cycle

  • Proficient in C/C++/Java, multithread programming

  • BS/MS degree in CS/EE/CE or technical equivalent.

  • Excellent written and communication Skills.
