Cisco is looking for a Visual Designer to join The Design Group (TDG). In this position, you will work closely with Interaction Designers, User Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to define the user experience of Cisco Collaboration products.
Understand the product requirements and translate complex interaction challenges into a simple and elegant visual interface solution
Communicate with cross-functional team to ensure the visual quality
Follow the Cisco brand, create pixel-perfect comps, and contribute to providing specifications and final assets when necessary
Develop clean and effective graphics templates and style guides
3+ years experience of visual design
Strong communication skills, and the ability to work well both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
Experience with Sketch/Adobe Creative Cloud Suite/etc.
Ability to coordinate and track user stories, use cases, and design deliverables, good teamwork a plus
Understanding of usability protocols and methods a plus
Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for multi-platforms
The portfolio that showcases excellence in visual design & creative thinking, as well as a clean and polished style with an eye for detail
Bachelor's degree in Graphic/Visual/Interaction Design or related field with advanced design skills, or have equivalent experience. (Master degree preferred)
Coursework in or familiarity with usability and design principles
Coursework in or familiarity with software development practices, especially integrating UX into Agile methods
Specialty in visualization and data management a plus
