Cisco are looking to hire a Director to work with our Vice President of our SP Video organisation.

SPVSS is the world leader in the provision of Software, Platforms and Services to the Pay TV industry, working predominately with Service Providers. The product portfolio covers Content Security, Video Processing and Cloud Platforms for Cloud Recording and Providing Multi-Device experiences for TV. We have some form of product in 1 in 3 of the Pay TV homes globally, operate in all major geographies across the world and are at the forefront of the transformation of the TV industry as it shifts from broadcast to delivery over IP/Internet.

As a Director, you will be working to Drive the VP's agenda through leading programs, business changes and other strategic projects. You will organize and prioritizes critical business issues and required information for VP to facilitate effective decision making. You will provide leadership, insight and guidance to projects and programs of high importance. You will also serve as confidante and right hand for the VP and assists other executive leaders in various ways.

The key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading strategic program management, which involves duties on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

  • Working with function and business owners to define business plans

  • Conducting initiative reviews to ensure VP/GM needs are communicated, progress is being made, and issues are escalated and regular updates provided to VP/GM on project status and issues requiring attention.

  • Proactively presenting ideas for special projects or initiatives that would position the business for continued success

  • Participating in and faciliting the continued refinement of the corporate strategy

  • Demonstrating flexibility because some initiatives may not fit neatly into one of the company's lines of business and/or departments

  • Organizing and keeps track of multiple projects simultaneously

  • Keeping up with industry trends by reading market literature, analyzing data and trends, and communicating with peers

  • Acts as a representative of the VP

  • The successful candidate must have the ability to think strategically, whilst have a strength of operational implementation, and a proven track record of leading high impact and broad reaching initiatives, leveraging resources and capabilities from across the organisation. Through strong, collaborative partnerships and earned credibility, this leader is able to effectively manage and influence executive stakeholders and deliver multiple and simultaneous programmes and initiatives.

  • ·Executive engagement at the SVP level is required. Presence, data driven and ability to create clarity for decision making.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher

  • MBA preferred

  • Based in UK, London

  • Background as a management consultant

  • Experience with Digital TV/Pay TV market preferred

  • Strong financial acumen/analytical skills

  • Strong organizational/programme skills

  • Proven ability to navigate organizational politics and influence at executive level

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
