What You'll Do
Come help build Cisco's partner community, our #1 route to market. The primary responsibility of the Service Provider Partner Development Manager is to work with Cisco's Partners to develop and grow a profitable business focused on Cisco Solutions. The candidate will work with their assigned Partners to develop plans that bring incremental revenue to Cisco and to his/her Partners in strategic focus areas. The SP-PDM will build awareness of the competitive landscape and educate our Partners on strategies to position their Cisco based solutions for success against current and emerging competitors. Candidates should be "great teammates" with strong communication skills who can work cross-functionally within Cisco to develop ideas, share best practices and execute business plans.
Who You'll Work With
The SP-PDM will work closely with Partner Systems Engineers, Partner Account Managers, Architects, Business Unit Product Management and other Cisco teams as necessary to lead cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment and consistency with their Partner’s focused efforts. You will also work closely with the Cisco teams to understand the Partners business and better align to the local business environment and also lead efforts to insert Cisco products and services into the Partners offers to market to maximize the alignment of Cisco’s business with the Service Provider.
Who You Are
To join us, you have:
Five plus years experience working with a Manufacturer or Partner in the Technology Industry, preferably with a facilities based Service Provider Partner
Experience building or launching to the business market Cloud or Software as a Service, Subscription Software, or Managed Services offers
Experience leading or guiding cross-functional teams toward a business goal which is fulfilled by the implementation of technology solutions,
Experience selling to partners and Business Decision Makers both inside and outside the company to grow the business
A business background that enables engagement with Business Decision Makers along with a sales background that will enable collaboration within Cisco and our Partner community
A demonstrated ability to act as a General Manager and think both tactically and strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions for Partners
The ability to develop, present and execute on a Business Plan that combines the Partner’s key initiatives and Cisco’s priorities for mutual success in the marketplace
An ability to understand client business and technical imperatives and inspire confidence with a variety of internal and external constituents, converting those imperatives into action plans and objectives which will grow both the Partners and Cisco’s business
Ability to establish relationships, gain consensus, rapidly establish credibility with (and gain confidence of) decision makers both withing Cisco and the Partners.
A self-starter, you are able to act autonomously to drive business results.
Strong communication and listening skills
A positive, and creative attitude and can work in a dynamic, fast paced and changing environment
A flexible personality to work within a geographically distributed and matrixed organizations.
Passion, energy, excitement and intensity to be a General Manager in the Partner community and to lead initiatives that will improve the business
5+ or more years experience working with a manufacturer or parter in the Technology industry
A business and sales background
Business Insight in Cloud Technologies, Software Sales, Managed Services and partner business models
A bachelors degree in a related field or the equivalent experience
