What You'll Do

You will cultivate strong partnerships with management and act as a trusted adviser while driving engineering resource planning, forecast process, reporting and business analysis. You will develop operating models and forecasts for the business utilizing inputs from cross-functional partners. You will work collaboratively across Finance, Operations, Engineering, FP&A, and IT organizations.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • You will support analysis of business assumptions which can change the forecast, such as priority changes, initiatives, attrition, customer acquisitions, new business model introduction etc.

  • You will provide recommendations to the leadership team

  • You’ll lead forecast and budget improvement processes, systems and tools

  • You’ll leverage business knowledge and data to provide valued input into the monthly/quarterly planning

  • You will articulate the key drivers of growth and forecast changes and challenge assumptions as needed

  • You’ll partner with engineering executives for Budget and Commit management

  • You will build financial models to provide visibility into Cloud Infrastructure’s transition to become a business unit, including mock-up financials to analyze our competitive position as if we were a stand-alone business

  • Work across Cisco finance to identify and execute both cross charge and allocation vehicles, as needed and appropriate

  • Partner with key stakeholders to build key management reports including unit economics and other benchmark reports for Streamline as a platform/SaaS business

  • Partner with the Product Management/Marketing team on pricing and billing Streamline as a platform service

Who You Are

You will need to bring a well-developed business and finance acumen, along with being self-motivated, having a positive attitude, and being team-oriented. You will have a knowledge of the business, be able to engage with cross-functional teams, and provide valuable support to management.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • You hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting / Finance with a minimum of 5+ years of business, financial planning, and/or accounting experience.

  • You exhibit excellent communication, teamwork and collaboration skills with executive leaders

  • You are a self-starter who actively manages challenging deliverables to meet business commitments and partner's expectations

  • You have a proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analysis and data visualization skills

Desired Skills

  • Strong process and tools and project management skills

  • Proficiency in Essbase, Business Objects and Tableau
