What You'll Do

This role is responsible for the overall strategic direction, service creation and go-to-market plan for ASEAN Service Providers who act as channel partners for Cisco. The potential leader will lead a team missioned to align to the Service Provider’s desired business outcomes, by working to embed Cisco’s entire portfolio into their managed services business. This position requires a strong background in executive-level communication, business development, managed services, and building customer and partner relationships. This role involves positioning and promoting the ASEAN Service Providers as a key route to market for Cisco.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define sales strategy, plan, develop, and manage the landscape for the ASEAN Service Provider as a Channel business, while executing Cisco's strategy and meeting Cisco's financial targets

  • Lead a team of BDMs to jointly envisage, create and accelerate joint managed services into the market with premier ASEAN Service Providers

  • Be an integral part of the business planning process and ensure close interaction and collaboration with the Architecture sales teams, ASEAN Partner Organisation, and GSP account teams on all aspects of building the SP Channel business

  • Implement agreed upon commercial models and coverage strategies across multiple touch points including regions, verticals, technology, segments, and different routes to market

Who You'll Work With

The Manager, Business Development will work hand in hand with Cisco Architectures, Partner Organisation leadership, along with other operational functions (Marketing, Finance, Legal, Support, etc.) and external partners to develop the Service Provider channel business. This position will work closely with Cisco ASEAN leadership to drive key business initiatives spanning Enterprise, Commercial and Public Sector customer acquisition, nurture and retention. As the SME on the Service Provider route-to-market for ASEAN this role will work very closely with both global PM/Engineering and Sales/Marketing to ensure product-market fit for Service Providers in their go-to-market.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of proven years of Sales Management experience in a sales organization

  • 10+ years of sales/business development experience

  • Specific examples of envisaging, creating and accelerating new services with major APJ Service Providers

  • Knowledge of Global Service Provider market trends

  • Strong leadership skills in a cross-functional teaming environment majoring on business development activities

  • Demonstrated successes as a sales leader and mentor in a demanding and rewarding sales environment

  • Develops an insightful view of the overall business landscape, including financial and partner business drivers.

  • Understands how to evaluate, interpret, and incorporate financial data in daily decisions to understand the organization's financial goals and focus the efforts in solving complex partner needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive level relationships at customers, partners and within Cisco.

  • Experience building actionable long and short term account plans based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends.

  • Expert at identifying and leading the appropriate resources (internal and external) required to develop and execute major commercial strategic initiatives.

  • Working across Boundaries - Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple business units, partners and solution teams in complex business engagements to leverage multiple IT domains in creating vertical/segment specific solutions for our customers

  • Strategic Vision - Develops short and long-term strategy for commercial model within the country.
