Who You’ll Work With

Cisco's Advanced Services Regional Business Development team is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to help grow the practice. This role is key to identifying marketplace demands for Cisco's Advanced Services in Switzerland.

What You'll Do

In this role you will support the development, growth and service delivery execution of the services business in targeted industry verticals. You will assist in opening doors with key prospects then provide opportunity assessment, engagement creation and secure a paid booking, working closely with Cisco sales teams and other stakeholders, as well as with key delivery partners, where required. You will drive financial performance metrics including bookings, revenue, profitability, bill rate and utilization and deliver of successful projects to a set of customer satisfaction targets and deliverable milestones. You will build relationships and trusted advisor status with all levels at our clients, understanding the client's business and delivering high impact consulting engagements.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Identify and position new and innovative service offerings and solutions based on observed marketplace demands and trends.

  • Define and communicate our services portfolio positioning and value to target client segments and Cisco stakeholders.

  • Create and deliver standalone and cross-portfolio services with 3rd party integration quotes and proposals to clients with accurate deliverable scoping, sizing and pricing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups (sales, product management, operations, marketing) to develop the Services portfolio strategy, financial forecasts, offer packages and pricing, and client proposals.

  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings.

  • Track and manage continuous pipeline of services and solutions for client opportunities.

Who You Are

You are a customer-facing subject matter expert who focuses on business development, delivering and orchestrating services engagements to Top 100 customers. You possess insight on industry best practices and operational processes, as well as knowledge of enabling technologies and architectures. You have experience with the recent cloud and mobility trends, security threats, and governance/risk/compliance and have the ability to develop a working knowledge of horizontal Cisco architectures, products and solutions capable of delivering a value proposition to the clients. You have a clear understanding of solution selling and the ability to convert consulting engagements into solution and managed service sales and a demonstrated track record of successful selling of services into large accounts. You engage and build relationships at the client and present complex ideas in succinct yet compelling form that creates urgency to execute the proposed engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in services advisory / delivery, sales, or BDM role

  • BA/BS or equivalent

  • Knowledge of the Advanced Services business

  • English, German and preferably French language skills

  • Self-starter, Independent, pro-active, multi task, program management mind set who is able to resolve conflicts

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in communicating and positioning Cisco's Optimization Services business and operational value and capabilities to Client Executive audience.

  • Ideal candidates will have proven success working with / for top technology providers and/or major global system integrator.

  • Proven track record of developing and winning multi-architecture solutions contracts (multi-million $).

  • Sales Expertise - Ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives using a combination of Cisco and 3rd party solutions / services.

  • Technical Expertise - Demonstrated technical expertise, academic training or knowledge of information technology is required in order to provide a comprehensive, differentiated, and valuable level of consulting advice to the client.

  • Industry Expertise - Demonstrated knowledge of the client's business to be conversant enough in order to present a compelling point-of-view to the client of what work should be undertaken in order to help the client's company achieve competitive advantage and differentiation. Act as a change agent for shaping services strategy by applying current industry knowledge to evangelize and drive adoption of cloud strategies and leading cloud practices.
